My Way - Starry Night Over the Rhone - Digital Painting / by Vincent Zuniaga

As human beings, we are often caught up in our daily routines, problems, and worries. We tend to forget that we are just a speck of dust in this vast universe. However, any opportunity to look up in a clear night sky can make us realize how insignificant our problems are in comparison to the vastness of the universe. This routine helps to put things in perspective and reminds us to appreciate the beauty around us.

Vincent Van Gogh, one of the greatest painters of all time, expressed his love for the night sky through his painting. His paintings were not just an expression of his art but also a way of connecting with nature. He saw the beauty in everything that surrounded him, and his impressionistic style has inspired many artists worldwide.

My admiration for Van Gogh's artwork and style has always been present in my work. As a digital artist, I wanted to pay homage to his masterpiece "Starry Night" by creating my version of it digitally. The project I named "My Way" was a body painting project that took me years to complete. I took the model's photo and saved it for three years until I developed the necessary skills and techniques to realize what I had in my mind.

The challenge was to respect Van Gogh's brushstroke style, especially on the sky, which is the most significant part of the painting. I wanted to capture the unpredictability of the night sky by imitating Van Gogh's swirls and brushstrokes. I wanted to make it as close to his original as possible with a modern twist. The result was a digital painting that looks like a real-life painting.

"My Way" represents taking the time to slow down and enjoy what is around. A clear night sky invites us to take a deep breath and appreciate the beauty of the stars. The universe out there is pure without the contamination of human greed, hate, and arrogance. When we look at the night sky, we realize that we are part of something grand and beautiful.

In my view, "My Way" - Starry Night Over the Rhone - Digital Painting is not just a painting, but it is a reflection of our connection with nature. It reminds us to slow down and take a moment to appreciate the beauty around us. Van Gogh's style inspired this digital painting, and we can see his influence in every brushstroke. The night sky reminds us to cherish life and be grateful for the ones we have. It is an excellent example of how art can be a medium to express our love for nature and remind us of our place in this universe.
