A new painting from my series Dogs Winter Window.
It was inspired by holiday lights at Mount Dora, Florida town. I live very close to this town and it is one of my favorites destinations during the Christmas Celebration.
The whole town embraces the holidays and lights display are everywhere, the town square, the marina, the streets, the houses and business. Each one has their own style and colors, which make the town a great experience to walk around to enjoy the lights and the holiday mood.
As a must, you need to visit the town’s Christmas tree, take pictures, selfies while listening to beautiful holiday music.
Why do I do holiday scene painting? Someone recently asked me.
Well, I love christmas holidays and I learned to do it because my Grandma absolutely loves it and because I grew up with her, I was next to her year after year during the holidays preparing and decorating the house for holidays.
I builded a native scene every year with her, went out to shop for new pieces for it, I was in the kitchen as a helper while she cooked the traditional Venezuelan plate for the family.
Doing art with the holiday as a theme is my way to remember and honor her.
If you like great food and great restaurants, come and visit Mt Dora. If you like amazing holiday decorations and lights displays, come and visit Mt Dora. If you want to go to a family friendly town, come and visit Mt Dora and let your kids play on Donnelly Park and check online all the activities they schedule during the holidays for families.
If you like to go out with your pets, come to visit Mt. Dora and walk around the town. It is very pet friendly and with great stores for your pet town.
I want the greetings cards to be a celebration of the winter and holidays season with our pets.
