My new body art piece, "Pillars of Creation," is a homage to my lifelong fascination with space. Ever since I was a child, I've been captivated by the cosmos, inspired by watching the series Cosmos by Carl Sagan, who was my hero during my formative years.

As an enthusiastic follower of space exploration, I've marveled at the stunning images captured by telescopes like Hubble and now the James Webb, revealing the beauty of deep space—galaxies, nebulas, stars, and planets. These spectacular images remind us of our insignificance in the vastness of the universe.

In my series "Space," I translate these cosmic wonders into body art, using the human body as my canvas. Each handmade painting is meticulously crafted, following the contours, curves, and muscles of the body to maintain its presence in the art. The process begins with a photoshoot to capture the body in the desired position, lighting, and detail, essential for the body art project.

Once I have the photos, I select one and edit it to prepare for the painting. Then, I choose a space image that complements the body and the project. I sketch the placement of the space image on the body, ensuring it harmonizes with the body's natural features. Throughout the painting process, I pay special attention to preserving the body's shape and muscles, blending them seamlessly with the space image.

"Pillars of Creation" was a natural choice for me, as it is one of my favorite images from space exploration. James Webb's version of this celestial wonder revealed unprecedented detail, making it an ideal subject for my body art. The vibrant colors and iconic shape of this immense space structure translate beautifully onto the human form.
